1. 2021 An Evening in the Boston Mountains

All aboard! Pulling out from the Van Buren Train Depot and in coordination with the Fort Smith Trolley Museum comes this thrilling dinner ride through the Boston Mountains, starting at 5 PM on Saturday, Aug. 28. While the dinner car is now SOLD OUT at the time of this post, there is plenty of coach seating still available. Click here to learn more or order tickets.

2. Duck Day 2021 at Parrot Island Waterpark

7th Annual Duck Day! Hit Parrot Island Waterpark on Saturday, Aug. 28, starting at 10 AM for a quack-tastic day filled with games and activities for the whole family. There will be live music, food, duck-themed festival games, prizes, additional vendors, and an afternoon Rubber Ducky Derby Race around the Lazy River. More information is available at this link.

3. Family Fun Day & Blood Drive

The Family Fun Day & Blood Drive presented by the Arkansas Blood Institute and Fort Smith Harley-Davidson starts at 10 AM on Saturday, Aug. 28. It will be held at 6304 South 36th Street and feature a water slide, bouncy house, free lunch, and a number of vendors. Fun for everyone, more info here

4. All Ages Clay Play

The Center for Art & Education in Van Buren invites you and your kiddos out to this fun event that runs from Monday, Aug. 23, through Friday, Aug. 27. You can do $20 per person for a day or pay $75 for the whole week. Instructor Stephanie Payton will be guiding everyone through this all-ages activity. 5. Change for Children and Non-Violence

Mercy Crest and Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) will be hosting this fun event for a worthy cause on Saturday, Aug. 28, from 9 AM to 1 PM. That's four hours of food, games, music, and motorcycles, to help support the BACA cause. The location is 1300 Strozier Lane in Barling. Click here for more information.
