1. UAFS Lions Basketball

Come out to support your Lions and Lady Lions this week with, not one, but two games. First, on Tuesday, Jan. 11, it will be UAFS against Oklahoma Christian University. Then, Thursday, Jan. 13, will see the Lions taking on Western New Mexico University (both match-ups start at 5:30 PM on their respective days). Click here and here for more information!

2. Clean and Cook Your Trout

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has an exciting opportunity for families that are interested in or love to fish. The Clean and Cook Your Trout event will allow each participant to do just that complete with guided instruction. It takes place on Friday, Jan. 14, at 6 PM, from the River Valley Nature Center. Trout dishes will be served as well. Click here for more information.

3. Hot Chocolate at the Library

The low on Monday, Jan. 10, is 25 degrees, and that high of 51 is just not enough to thaw us out! Solution? Drop by the Dallas St. Branch of the Fort Smith Public Library on Monday, Jan. 10, from 3:30-4:30 PM for some free hot chocolate and activities. Click here for more information.

4. For the Birds Craft

Thursday, Jan. 13, is a good time to visit the Arkansas Game and Fish River Valley Nature Center if you're into birds. At 5 PM, the For the Birds Craft event will give you the tools and assistance you need to build a birdhouse and feeder for your backyard. You can register for the event here.

5. Homeschool Drama Class

Last but not least, the Community School of the Arts will be rolling out its spring semester of Homeschool Drama. This is a wonderful chance to get your children interested in and start embracing the arts. Instructor Cody Walls will be handling the proceedings each week. The class is designed for children in the grade ranges of 5-8. Tuition is $160 for the full semester, which runs from Jan. 13 to March 10. The fun starts this week at 2-3:30 PM, Learn more at this link
