1. Beginning Drawing
The Center for Art and Education/Arts On Main invites beginning artists to come learn more about the power and freedom of drawing. There will be four classes available. In them, you or your kids can learn about creating lines, gestures, shading, texture, composition, proportion, and perspective. Starts Thursday, March 3, at 10 AM from the Main Street Art Gallery, 509 Main St., in Van Buren. Click here for more information!
2. Growing Kids Consignment Sale
Growing Kids is a children's consignment event at Kay Rodgers Park in Fort Smith. Two sales are held each year - one in the spring (March) and one in the fall (September). These events give you the opportunity to sell your gently used clothing, toys and equipment and receive up to 75% of your selling price with no long wait for your items to sell. It's also the BEST WAY to buy everything your kids need for the upcoming season! The next sale happens on Thursday, March 3, and goes through Saturday, March 5, 10 AM - 8 PM each day. 3. Family Picnic Day
The AGFC River Valley Nature (formerly Janet Huckabee) invites you to bring the family out to enjoy the day in the site's picnic area. You bring lunch, they provide the space and entertainment. There will be lawn games set up for families to enjoy as well as fishing gear to borrow. It's all free, and it goes down from 12-2 PM on Saturday, March 5. Click here for more information!
4. Grab and Go Craft Kits
Bored children? Bored adults? Don't forget the Windsor Branch Public Library has craft kits for both all month long. Stop by any time during the normal hours of operation to get yours! Click here for more information!
5. Drive-Thru Shrimp Boil
Plan dinner in advance and drive-thru to pickup your meals! Trinity Episcopal Church is hosting its Annual Shrimp Boil as a drive-thru event this year. Order you tickets in advance or drive-up. Meals can be picked up from 5 PM to 7:30 PM in front of the church. Due to COVID-19 precautions, there will not be a full in-person event this year, but you will still have access to all the delicious boiled shrimp and fixins!
