1. Annual Spinach Festival
What's a good way to get your kids to eat their spinach? Why not try the annual Spinach Festival in Alma? There will be pony rides, carnival games, food, inflatables, bounce houses, a mechanical bull, and live music. And, oh yeah, spinach! This all-day event will be held at Alma City Park. 2. Second Saturday Shopping
Hit Main Street in Historic Downtown Van Buren on Saturday, April 9, from 10 AM-6 PM for a day of shopping, dining, and strolling the streets for sweet deals. 3. Charlotte's Web
Based on the classic novel by E.B. White, Charlotte's Web tells the story of an unlikely friendship between a pig and spider. This is a beautiful, knowing play about friendship that will provide you with an evening of enchantment. 4. ShoBo's Kitchen
Welcoming a new menu of delicious foods to the Fort is something we always love doing. This week, we get to try out ShoBo's Kitchen! The dining establishment will hold a ribbon-cutting at The Bakery District on Wednesday, April 6 at 10 AM. From there, lunch is served! 5. Outdoor Cooking Series
Join AGFC staff for a series on Outdoor Cooking. They will cover several methods you can use to cook meals for your friends and families in the great outdoors. These classes are designed to give participants hands-on experiences, so come ready to cook. The fun starts at 6 PM on April 8 at the River Valley Nature Center. It's free to attend.
